Marissa is the owner of Merak Gardens and works as a landscape designer and horticultural expert.  She began working as a landscape designer in 1997 and graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture in 2008.  Marissa's extensive plant knowledge stems from her degree in horticulture and a lifelong curiosity of plants, which allows her to artfully bridge the design and horticulture arenas to create inviting and functional outdoor living spaces.

Marissa is dedicated to putting the needs of her clients first and enjoys integrating creative solutions that bring the client, the site and the project's budget seamlessly together.  She has taught several classes on garden design throughout the Denver metro area, and enjoys helping others understand Colorado's landscapes and its gardening climate.
